An interesting design in a well-used quilt.
Maybe from the 1950s?

I don't see any seam lines in the corners so I'm
guessing the center was pieced and then appliqued to
a white background.
It's similar to Evelyne's Whirling Dust Storm which was
published in the Kansas City Star in 1943...
Although the pattern is drawn for applique rather
than piecing (maybe to save paper during the War years.)

You could piece it or applique it.
I imported it from BlockBase to EQ7 and drew a pattern.
Print the file below on an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of paper.
6 x 6 blocks = 36
12" finished blocks = 72" square
If I were going to make it I'd do it EPP style, glue-basting
each piece over fabric.
